在泉州的东海之滨，

蟳埔簪花的习俗缘起何时，

一直以来众说纷纭，

清代乾隆年间就有诗记载：

“家住鹧鸪大海汀，阿姨少小贩鱼腥，

罗巾竹笠新妆好，不插闲花鬓越青。”

圆髻上环绕四时鲜花所串的花环，

有洁白高雅的茉莉花，

有六月雪美称的素馨花，

有金黄色的含笑花，

有紫红色的粗糠花，

尽管簪花历史年月已不可考，

但簪花的习俗见证了刺桐港与世界的交融

时至今日蟳埔女风情风靡大江南北，

在泉州蟳埔村成千上万的游客体验“簪花”习俗

从素人到明星，

从传统到时尚，

从本土到世界，

从泉州海洋文化底蕴中走出的“活化石”，

不只惊艳了岁月，

更传递了世遗光环下走向世界的“泉州之美”。

On the eastern shore of Quanzhou’s azure sea,

lies a humble fishing hamlet, Xunpu,

the cradleof the “Zanhuawei” tradition.

Though whispers of its origin drift through time,

A Qing Dynasty poem from Qianlong’s reign survives to tell:

“By the partridge-singing shores she dwells,

A maiden once peddled fish and shells,

With a bamboohat and silk so fine,

No flower needed—her youth would shine.”

Circlets of seasonal flowers crown their coiled hair—

with Jasmine’s ivory elegance,

and Sampaguita’s snow-kissed charm,

with Michelia’s golden sunlit grace,

and purple-red beautyberry flowers.

While no chronicle proves this custom’s birth,

the headdress bears witness to Zayton’s embrace of the world.

Now Xunpu’s allure sweeps north and south,

thousands flock to don these floral crowns.

From commoners to celebrities, from tradition to trend,

From local shores to the world’s grand stage.

A living fossil born from Quanzhou’s oceanic page,

not just enchanting through hundreds of years,

but projecting with World Heritage glow,

the transcendent beauty of Quanzhou that dazzles the global soul.
